Lately I’ve been trying to burn off some of my baby fat. The other day I woke up from my nap and the first thing I decided to do was a quick workout. I told Mom “pull-up”. She knew what I was talking about. Mom helped me get the pull-up bar setup just like Dad taught me. But like Dad says, first we do push-ups. So I got down and did a few push-ups first and then did 3 pull-ups. Watch out kids, I’m going to be ripped soon!
Well I turned the big 0-2 last week. It was about 4 days of celebration. I had a small party with the family on my actual birthday. Dad was at Texas A&M so he joined us on the computer. That was cool. Then I got more Happy Birthday’s when Dad got home the next day. Then the grand finale was on Saturday when all my friends came to the park and we had another big party. There was even a choo-choo train there!!!! I loved it so much I didn’t get off for about 45 minutes. It was a blast. You only turn 2 once in your life so you gotta enjoy it. Check out some photos of the party on my photos page.
I’m really starting to get the hang of talking. Some of my best lines over the last few weeks include:
“Breakin’ the Law”
“Happy Birthday Papa”
It sure is fun acting like a grownup. Lately I’ve realized that when Mom and Dad put me to bed at night, I can easily enough hop right out of bed, open my door and hang out upstairs by myself or come down and say hi to Mom and Dad. About a week ago I was having some fun upstairs when I found Sydney’s jar of Vaseline. Talk about some fun. It’s so squishy and soft. Before I knew it, I had it all over my hands, face, shirt and the carpet in Sydney’s room. I was pretty sure I was now suppose to do that so I slowly snuck downstairs and peaked through the stair banisters at Dad with a small smile on my face. Dad tried to act serious but I saw a little grin. Let’s just say the night ended with a second bath.
Of course it’s always fun to pretend to be like Mom or Dad. And that’s all I was trying to do when I tried to copy Mom by getting her mascara and putting it on my eyelashes. Now I know why she does it because it was fun! I got a little on my face but overall I think I looked pretty good.
Well, enough talk of mischief for now. See ya!
It’s been a while since I last blogged because I’ve been busy being such an awesome big brother. For example, about a month ago I was hangin’ out with Sydney and she started crying. Mom and Dad weren’t nearby so I had to take action. I stood up, looked her in the eye, pointed my finger and said “I’ll be right back”. Then I went and got her pacifier and put it in her mouth. I’d seen Mom and Dad do it all the time and sure enough it worked great.
Of course I’ve been able to hold Sydney for a while now. But lately I’ve been helping burp her, pat her to sleep, and the other night I helped Mom by throwing her pacifier into the crib when Sydney was crying.
And because I’ve been getting myself out of bed in the morning, I make sure to stop by Sydney’s room and check on her before I head downstairs. If there was an aware for best big brother ever, I’m pretty sure I’d win every time.
Hey everybody….we’ve been back from Lake Tahoe for a few days now. We’ve been busy getting back into the swing of things. Dad just finished saving all of our pictures to my website so go check them out. He is going to save the videos soon. I had an awesome time!
Airplane! We got to ride on two airplanes yesterday on our way to a new place called Truckee, CA. It was so exciting. On our first flight to L.A., they made Dad and I move away from Mom and Sydney. I’m not sure why but Dad and I got to move almost all the way to the front of the plane. They mentioned something about not having enough oxygen masks but I never got to play with any oxygen masks so I’m not sure what the deal was.
Dad and I sat between two strangers. They were interesting and I enjoyed watching them. If you ask me though, I’m just too big to be sitting in Dad’s lap and it made things really cramped. I think Dad agrees. I got so frustrated one or two times but can you blame me? I like to be on the move and free. Mom and Sydney had a great trip. Mommy said that Sydney didn’t cry at all. I’d like to think I’ve taught her well!
Before the second flight we got to play in the airport for many hours because they had to find us a new plane. It was fun though. There was a lot of space to play and plenty of airplanes to look at. The second flight was a lot shorter and I got my own seat. Awesome!! That’s the way to fly.
This new town we’re is really nice. The weather is nice too. I could play outside all day here. Now I’m just hanging out in our condo. I got to sleep on a mat last night just like at daycare. It took me a while to get use to but I’ll be alright.
That’s all for now. See ya.
I got four new pairs of shoes yesterday! My old shoes were getting a little uncomfortable so the whole family went out shoe shopping for me. I got one pair of sandals, one brown, aqua socks and Dad talked Mom into getting me a pair of running shoes. I look good.
Well, I made it through my first month. I meant to update my website earlier but you know how it goes. Real life is busy. Anyway, I’m having a good time so far. My first few weeks were a little tough. I just couldn’t ever get comfortable. Lucky for me Mom was feeding me every two hours so that made it lot better. For some reason I don’t think Mom liked that but oh well. Now that I’m going into my fifth week of life, I’m really hitting my stride. I’m cool, calm and collected. I’m still getting hungry about every 3-4 hours. But what do they expect, I’m a growing girl. As you all know from my Dad’s first post, I weighed 9 lbs when I was born. Hey, no laughing. I’m not big, I’m healthy. Anyway, I’m up over 11 lbs now and doing great.
Hudson has been a great big brother. He likes to hold me and give me kisses on my head. When I go to school with him, he makes sure all the germy little kids stay away from me. He sticks his hand out and say “Back, Back”. He’s awesome!
Well, I better go. About time for another nap.
Today was my first day in the Toddler classroom. I had been hanging out with these guys and gals for few hours each day so I already knew a lot of them. It was a lot of fun. I’m back with Miss Lauren which I like. And it’s really cool getting to make friends with all of the older kids. I know I’ll learn a lot. They even let me use a real cup. No more sippy cups for me! I also heard that I’m going to get to start wearing pull-ups?!? Not sure what those are but it sounds exciting. I’ll write again soon to let everyone know how things are going.
